Each of the activities of cleanliness analysis, drying and packaging are carried out in a protected environment, in order to guarantee, on the one side, full compliance with current regulations on particulate matter, on the other one, to make sure to provide the client with a quality cleanliness analysis, that depends on the different needs and, above all, in complete safety.
For this reason, we carry out a high-pressure cleansing that allows to reduce microplastics on the item to be treated, without resorting to the employment of chemical products.
The term LABS indicates all the problems dealing with surfaces coating, particularly to impurities and sediments (that are difficult to notice as soon as produced) that prevent the coating from adhering. Such substances can be silicones, fluorine materials (PTFE), some lubricating oils and grease, but also oxidation layers provoked by moisture. Moreover, contamination can take place unconsciously, from the contact with coveralls or the silicone rubber gloves used to handle the items, employing cosmetics, perfumes or products for hair.
A growing environmental awareness, relying on even more severe regulations on pollutant emissions, led to the need for some sectors to take particular measures and LABS-frei (from the German, it means “lacking LABS”) coatings, especially for items of medical technology, where it is essential to guarantee the absence of impurities on the final product.
However, not all the pollutant elements can be excluded from the production chain. In order to satisfy the requirement without LABS, the components must be cleaned: a new awareness on occupational medicine and on environmental protection facilitates the employment of new innovative methods of cleanliness analysis, among which cleaning with plasma stands out. This can permanently remove from the surface all the flaws and impurities and, at the same time, makes it possible to shorten the cleaning times thus reducing costs, as well as guarantee a better reliability on the production of the treated component.
